Guwahati: Assam has announced a rental action to build a lease authority to regulate the rental of the place, which will be driven by the market and determined by a joint agreement between tenants and landlords to protect the interests of both.
Officials here said Assam was the first country in this country to do it.
The new law has been formulated based on the Tenancy Law model approved by the Union Cabinet on June 2 this year to be adopted in all states and the territory of the trade union.
The bill was introduced in the Assembly on August 9 and continued on Friday.
The Rental Rental Act Assam Urban Region, 1972, stood revoked.
This law will provide a quick adjudication mechanism for resolving disputes between landlords and tenants through the establishment of lease authorities, rental courts and appellate rentals at the district level.
This action also determines the duties and obligations of landlords and tenants regarding the maintenance and maintenance of the building.
There will be no artificial hats in repairing rental places.
Building rent will be driven by the market and will be determined by a joint agreement between tenants and landlords.
“Various controversial problems appear between landlords and tenants.
Some do not respect the agreement when it comes to leaving a place.
This produces landlords that do not issue accommodation.
After this action it comes into force, the Letting-Out process will become Easie,” said Minister of Housing Assam and Urban Ashok Singhal.
