Guwahati: Assam wing from Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), Farmer Wings Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Tuesday warned agitation throughout the state on September 9 if the center failed to act on his demands on agricultural laws and minimum support price (MSP).
“MSP must be decided based on costs, and the new law must be formulated, given the worries raised by farmers, to resolve disputes arising from new laws,” Krishna Bora, the country organized the BKS secretary, said.
“For the demand mentioned above, the BKS wing will hold a demonstration on September 9.
BKS has sent a demand note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 11.
Unfortunately, we have not received a response from the Prime Minister in Indonesia.
Therefore, we have been Decided to protest.
Further action courses will be decided based on the central government holder for the demands.
“Bora said that rice quintals were sold around Rs 1,100 in the state, which was far below the level set by the center.
“Farmers must get a reasonable price for their products,” he added.
“We want to urge the government to take tight actions against the people involved in fertilizer syndicates,” he added.
