Assam: Three smugglers arrested for carrying 658GM heroin

Jorhat: Police arrested three drug smugglers in Laharijan in Anglong’s carbi regency, along the Assam-Nagaland border, on Friday.
Trio Wuere brought 658 grams of heroin.
Police officers Sub-Division Bokajan John Das said, “The people who were arrested had been identified as KH Suresh Khan (35), Lourembam Shamu Singh (46) and MD Bishabauddin (32).
They praised the Manipur Bishnupur district.” Further Das stated, “acting on a tip off, a Naka (police inspection) was established in Laharijan.
The bus is intercepted and in finding a vehicle 52 soapboxes that contain 658 GM Heroin restored from behind the bus.” DAS said, “During the preliminary interrogation, the people arrested revealed that they brought heroin from Imphal.”
