GUWAHATI: By Monday, Assam will suspend government work to place the whole machines behind a hard drive to vaccinate three lakh individuals against Covid-19 daily for 10 days as a pilot project and if successful, the drive may last with a goal to inoculate 50 percent of inhabitants by July-end.
The country has vaccinated over 50 lakh of its 3.12 crore (2011 census) population–over 10 lakh of these have experienced their next dose.
Chief Union Himanta Biswa Sarma later chairing a video seminar using civillaw enforcement and wellness department heads of districts on Saturday stated,”Everybody was requested to prepare the improved Immunization Drive, that will start from Monday using a goal of vaccinating three lakh individuals daily.
