Chandigarh: Former Opposition Leader and National Secretary General of Lok Dal (INLD) India Abhay Singh Chautala has stated a strong objection to the use of incitement law in the state by the BJP-JJP government in Haryana against farmers.
Abhay Singh said that England had made this law so that every satyagrahi could be imprisoned by accepting him a rebellion or terror.
It’s been more than 70 years since the country becomes independent, but this law is still used against those who raise their voices for their rights.
Under this section (124a), after 2014, around 600 people were arrested and put into prisons by the government, but only 10 of them were found guilty, he said.
