Bengaluru: a group of criminals cut the right leg and the right wrist of a 50-year-old RTI activist in Tavarekere, on Jalan Magadi, on Thursday.
The police said Venkates was attacked at 11:30 a.m.
on his farm in Tavarekere.
Gang four to five criminals came on two bicycles and cut their right leg under the knee wrist and right.
He was hospitalized later and said because of danger.
The disconnected limb has been connected again, police said.
S Girish, police supervisor (District Ramanagara), said Venkates had submitted several RTI applications who were looking for information about development work in his area.
Some of them stopped because of their application.
Police Tavarekere registered an attempt and assault.
