Bengaluru: A 37-year-old woman accused her friend to extort Rs 5 lakh from her and demanded more Rs 10 lakh.
The police said they were looking for suspicion missing after the woman approached the police.
The woman identified the suspect as Vijay Kumar, 34, a resident of Kumara Park.
“We met 10 months ago and became close.
But for the past month, his behavior changed and he would argue and defeat me for trivial problems.
I decided to keep away and stopped talking to him,” he said.
“Then he began to squeeze me, said he would share videos about our time together on social media if I did not give him Rs 5 lakh.
I was obliged, but now he wants to rs 10 lakh more,” he said.
