Bengaluru: When Bengalurean Just received a message stating that he had tested the negative for Covid-19 on his call to 4.55 nights on July 24, he was confused because he had not taken the test.
Bewilderment turned to concern because the patient’s name in the message was not his.
To Chagrin, he received 15 messages more than 100 minutes.
All stated he was negative but showed a different name.
Strangely, all messages come to their luxury numbers that end at 0000, which have not been published.
This 39-year-old player is now reconciled with everything into a technical error.
“It seems like someone misused the RT-PCR test.
This must be checked,” said Just.
He did take a Covid test in April, before a business trip but has registered through another number.
16 names include women and are in all age groups.
Just take it to Twitter and mark BBMP to attract the attention of the plate.
When TI reached BBMP on Monday, it was found that at least one SRF ID was produced in MySuru and Hubballi.
Two SRF IDs belonging to Bengaluru, said Randeep D, Special Commissioner, Health, BBMP.
“In these two cases, the collecting telephone number greets when testing is different.
Only the first first digit.
We don’t know the actual number that receives these messages,” said Randeep.
He said the request was made to the war room to verify the rest of the message and also why the results related to the two ID SRF from Bengaluru were sent to the wrong number.
However, the sources say the cellphone number that ends in a certain sequence like 0000 is known to get the message.
“It needs to be handled by the state war space,” officials said.
