Bengaluru: There seems to be no relief seen for traders at Avenue Road, a popular shopping center in the heart of Bengaluru.
After suffering a massive loss of two pandemic-induced locking, their business stagnates due to the pace of the work of rebuilding snails.

(BSCL) launched the project to rebuild the road in January this year and have missed June deadlines to complete work.
Now, even though locking restrictions have been appointed, most companies cannot be accessed because the road is excavated.
Some businesses on the road have dropped windows for good after creating a big loss.
Uttam Jain, who runs a sugar shop, said, “My grandfather began this shop in 1942 and I had run it for more than 20 years now.
During this time, I have never seen this road in a sad form.” Jain said since The work began, the footsteps had fallen.
“I will do a business RS 1 lakh a day, but now it has dropped to rs 20,000.
Business has taken a serious hit with two locking.
Now, infrastructure work takes great casualties in our livelihoods,” he said.
Traders believe that the main problem is that there is no coordination among the institutions of citizenship involved.
“At one point, we don’t have electricity for five days,” Deepak Khemani, brother of the owner of the sugar shop, said.
“Not a single authority seems to worry.

Traders have now approached MLA, MP and BBMP commissioners and urged them to intervene and ensure the work is finished quickly.
The work of the underground drainage on both sides of the road has been completed, while the storm water channel, and Bescom and the construction of the Cable Channel OFC also ended.
Whitetopping pending stock inspection on Monday, the BBMP Administrator Rakesh Singh asked officials to take the concrete work delayed and finished as soon as possible.
Recognizing the delay, BS Prahalad, Chief Engineer, BSCL, promised to complete all on August 10.
“It’s not easy to finish work quickly in a city like Bengaluru, especially during a pandemic,” said Prahalad.
