Bengaluru: Worried on Thursday’s explosion was alleged Cracker Illegal Godown in New Tharagupet, Chamarajpet who claimed two lives, the police on Friday raided some Godown who kept dangerous material in the environment and grabbed more than 16 cylinders of gas cooking either each stored illegally.
The Raided Godown is located near the one (Patrakali Amman Lorry Services) where the cracker explosion occurred.
The owner Ganesh Babu was arrested.
Four men suffered sustainable injuries in the explosion.
The LPG cylinder is confiscated from Godown from a coffee trading company.
“We will continue to rob a warehouse in and around Chamarajpet, Jalan Warehouse Goods, KR Market and its surroundings.
Because Deepavali approaches quickly, more illegal cracker storage opportunities,” said a senior officer.
Also, the police examined Godown in New Tharagupet to store crackers and supplied them to retailers in the city.
Ganapati, 50, one who was injured in the explosion, made a statement before the police at Victoria Hospital that he worked in a failure even though he heard a loud voice followed by fire and thick smoke.
“I have worked as a push-car laborer in and around Avenue Road for the past 30 years.
A shop owner named Kannan from Avenue Road sent me to Godown to carry a cracker box.
Thus, I went there at around 11:30 a.m.
The box is stored in the name of Kannan in Godown.
I got ready to shift into my drive cart when I heard a voice, followed by fire, “the police source was quoted as saying by Ganapati.
“Three more workers, who were near the entrance, fell in failed and began to shout because of burns.
I realized that I also suffered burns.
For some time, we sat in Godown and ran out as soon as the smoke was cleaned,” said Ganapati to the police.
