Bengaluru: 65-year-old people with disability died after he was thrown from his special scooter when passing a serrated stretch in the layout of Sir M Vesvaraya, near Ullal, in the western part of the city on Monday night.
This is the first fatality caused by a poor road in the city this year.
The accident occurred at around 8:45 a.m.
on Manganahalli’s main road at the Icsa Traffic Police limit.
From Haryana, Khurshid Ahmed came to Bengaluru two decades ago.
He lived in Bismillah Nagar in the layout of Mico and worked as a Madrassa teacher, in addition to selling perfume and handkerchiefs.
The two City-based Mola reportedly gave him a customized scooter.
The initial probe said the stretch of broken on the main road was the reason for the accident.
‘The victim did not see the digging section in Dark’Police said Ahmed could not see the parts that explore the way in the darkness and the front wheel of the vehicle took to the road being depressed and crashed into the asphalt area.
In the impact, Ahmed was thrown and the vehicle happened to him, resulting in a head and face injury.
DCP (traffic-west) Kuldeep Kumar Jain said relatives of the deceased suspected of sanitation lines in the place caused the accident.
Police said the civilian failed to improve the stretch of digging a year ago to put a sanitary pipe.
