Bengaluru: NAMMA METRO NON-FAREBOX revenue will be increased to 25% in two years, according to BMRCL MD Anjum Parwez.
“The metro station will have more retail outlets, including coffee shops, medical stores and shops that sell chocolate.
We also have plans to arrange charging electric vehicles and battery exchange stations,” he told Stoi.
The focus is on advertisements on the train, on pillars, platforms and building stations.
“But we have no plans to wrap trains with advertisements like several other Metro operators because it will affect aesthetics.
We will focus more on advertising revenues after the BBMP ban is appointed.
The company will also be allowed to install LED screens at the station and branding,” said Parwez .
“For existing stations, there are no direct plans to provide semi-naming rights to the company (to allow their names to appear as a prefix with the name of the station).
