Bengaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd has decided to memo the proposed inter-capital transit (IMTH) in Challaghatta, across the road that is good and along Mysore Road.

Previously, the plan was to have a depot elevated in Challaghatta and the bus depot for the KSRTC and BMTC buses below this.
But now we have decided to build a depot on the ground.
If elevated, it will be difficult for buses to maneuver due to the number of pillars.

Soma Enterprises Ltd accepts the contract in 2016 for the Challaghatta and depots and it should be completed in 27 months, but the company is said to be through the financial crisis that has delayed work.

IMTH was taken after consulting other government institutions such as the Directorate of Tanah Urban transportation.
“In Kengeri, BMRCL plans to build an overbridge of the foot (FOB).
BMTC and KSRTC buses also end there and there is a train station too.
It doesn’t need to be 2-3km,” he said.
The previous plan was to stop the inter-city bus from people like Bidadi, Ramanagara, Channapatna, Mandya and Mysuru at Challaghatta Imth.
The proposal on paper in 2009, the government proposed Imths in Yelahanka, Byappanahalli, Yeshwantpur, Peenya and near the intersection of the trumpet.
In the 2019-20 budget, the government announced a new plan to build the hub in six places: Hebbal, Byappanahalli, Kr Puram, Challaghatta, Peenya, and Kadugodi.
However, no one saw the light that day.
In fact, Bengaluru Traffic Police have proposed to limit private buses that are bound by Mysuru in Kengeri, Tumakuru buses in PEENYA, Kolar in Kr Puram and those who are from Tamil Nadu in Parappana Agrahara to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
The government has also decided to connect the terminus bus in Yeshwantpur, Banashankari, Vijayanagar and PEENYA with a metro or train station.
All of these proposals remain on paper.
Parwez said the tender would soon be resolved for FOBs in Yeshwantpur, Dasarahalli, Nagasandra, Mailasndra, Jnanabharathi, and Chikkabidarakallu (Jindal) with an estimated cost of Rs 12 Crore.
“We have to float fresh tenders because the previous contractor drawn after the steel price increases.
We will also provide FOBs in places such as Kr Puram and Cantonment for better multi-capital integration.”
