Bodoland Movement Leader Joins Cong Before Bypolls

Written by news2in

Guwahati: Congress, who has tried to regain a lost area for a while but only faced erosion in the form of leaders who left the party, has now succeeded in injecting some new hopes into the party with the induction of some Bodo Top leaders.
Congress pioneers to the Bodoland territorial (BTR) region have its significance as some assembly segments here are set to go to the election (bik-biks) immediately.
Several top leaders of the action committee with Peoples for the Bodoland (Pjaccm) movement, including the main convenience, Garjan Mushahary, joined Congress on Thursday.
Only a few days ago, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) gave responsibility for MP Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi to take stock of organizational problems in BTR where the Front Alliance (BPF) Bodoland (BPF) enjoyed extraordinary support until the BJP was formed by the government Assam in 2016.
Mushahary representatures along with 17 other leaders from PJACBM have significance when they pioneered the movement for the Bodoland state separate with the Bodo Student Union (ABSU) and the National Democratic Front (Progressive) (NDFB-P) for many years.
The third Bodo Accord was signed under the central Aegis in January, 2020, changing political equations in BTR, with the leader of Abu Pramod Boro to the Head of the Bodoland Territorial Board and former leader NDFB-P Gobinda Basumater to MLA from UPPL, BJP allied.
Mushahary has taken a different path to fulfill the aspirations of the Bodo people, even though not in separate circumstances.
“We all struggle for separate bodoland.
There may be a respectable solution to this problem.
The third BTR Accord has not been able to fulfill a separate dream of Bodoland,” Mushaary told Toi.
He was aware of the fact that the Congress had lost the land after almost submitting political affairs at BTR to BPF allies during the rules of the congress one and a half decades in the state, but Mushahary was ready to rise again the base of the party organization at BTR.
In Assam, improvements will mature in five voters after the death of two MLA from BTR and the other three resignation.
This also includes majuli chairs where a chosen will be held after the former Head of Sarbanou’s Sonowal head is appointed in the Cabinet Mod.
The President of Congress Assam Bhupen Borah told Ti that joining BODO leaders had delivered a ray of hope for Congress at BTR, right in front of repairs.
“In the past 20 years, no prominent BODO leaders have joined the Congress.
PJACBM has an organization base in all areas inhabited by Bodo.
Some Abu leaders also tend to join us,” Borah said.
Congress did not carry out contests from one of 12 assembly segments in BTR because all seats were given to Hagrama Mohilary’s BPF.
Bora said the decision of the demoralized congressional worker.
“Our workers don’t see hope on BTR.
Join these energetic leaders have exhaled new life into the party,” he added.
Although BPF was reported to have lost touch with Congress after defeat in the last election, Bora was not in the mood to take bond with Hagrama.
“If the BPF wants the contest in the magnification as part of the alliance, it’s a different problem.
If not, the Congress will carry out his own candidate,” he said.
Musushery and other state members joined Congress at the party headquarters in the morning.
The program was attended by Borah, the leader of the CLP Assam Debabrata Saikia, the work of the work of APCC Kamalakshya Dey Purkayastha and Zakir Hussain Sikdar, among others.
“State people are disabled with the current BJP government.
Previously, BJP used different tactics to check the progress of Congress.
We want to warn BJP that no matter what their tactics are, they will not be able to stop the party’s parade,” Borah said, welcomed the leaders .
