BENGALURU: Former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday required resignation of country property minister Basavaraj Bommai alleging he had been shielding the Gokak BJP MLA and former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi from the alleged sex-for-job scam.
In addition, he demanded that the arrest of Jarkiholi plus a courtroom tracked probe to the situation that ought to also check in the use of others such as ministers and police officers.
Jarkiholi had stepped on March a day following an activist alleged he had kidnapped a girl on the pretext of providing a government job.
Then, a movie of the alleged sexual scandal surfaced.
The girl needed afterwards lodged a police complaint which she had been raped on March 26.
“Home Union Basavaraj Bommai is shielding Ramesh Jarkiholi from the alleged sex-for-job scandal.
Due to him, he hasn’t been arrested up to now.
He’s no moral right to keep as home minister.
I need his resignation,” Siddaramaiah, who’s leader of resistance in the Karnataka meeting, said.
Alleging the Special Investigation Team headed by further police commissioner of Bengaluru Soumendu Mukherjee was disbanded, he explained another court tracked evaluation should take place.
“I need that this evaluation needs to last by a valid agency under the oversight of the Karnataka high court.
The accused has to be detained immediately in accordance with the terms of the law,” the Congress leader said.
Siddaramaiah required that the analysis must also probe the use of ministers, police officers and other people that are supposedly protecting him.
Jarkiholi has stated the videos had been doctored and he saw that a conspiracy to defame him and eliminate him from the ministerial position.
