Bengaluru: With heavy rain amazed several parts of the coast, Malnad and Interior-Interior-Interior Karnataka, causing floods such as the situation and landslides, the BS Yediyurappa Chief Minister on Saturday surpassed the regency’s ministers to stay in their districts and monitor relief and rescue of operations there.
The minister’s chairman will travel towards the rain and floods affected by the Border District of the Border in North Carnataka on Sunday, to assess the situation there.
“The chairman of the Morning Minister spoke with the Minister of College and Deputy Commissioners from various districts and gathered information about the rain and the flood situation there.
He has directed the minister responsible for remaining in their respective districts,” CMO said.
In a statement, which was also informed about Yediyurappa’s trip to Bellagavi on Sunday.
According to information from the State Disaster Management Authority, until the last night, 131 villages in 18 Taluk State have been influenced by rain and flooding, and 16,213 people have been affected and three people have died, while two people are missing.
Hundreds of houses have been damaged and 8,733 people were evacuated.
4,964 people took refuge in 80 relief camps until the last night.
The chairman of the minister has held a virtual meeting with the officials of the District of Belagiavi, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Haveri, Chikkamagaluru and Dharwad, on Friday night and have directed them to move residents of the river villages.
With some dams in the state and neighboring Maharashtra reaching Brim, water will be released into the river, flooding the Riverliying and River Banks area.
Rescue teams and assistance such as NDRF, SDRF, firefighting personnel have been suppressed into services in affected areas, officials said.
