CHANDIGARH: Defending his government’s determination to deliver tasks to sons of two MLAs, Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh on Saturday said that it had been a recognition of their sacrifices made by their own grandfathers, who set their lives down to the nation.
Interacting reluctantly with mediapersons away from the house of Milkha Singh, in which he’d gone to pay his final respects to the legendary athlete, and the ministry stated people that make a sacrifice to the country could, and should, not be forgotten.
Their families need to be paid for the reduction, he added.
Have a dig in the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), that have resisted the government’s movement, the chief minister stated if those parties supply names of any childhood whose father/grandfathers have made similar sacrifices to the country, they’ll also be supplied occupations from the state authorities.

He was reacting to a query on the Choice to Provide authorities projects into Arjun Partap Singh Bajwa, son of Qadian MLA Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa, as Agency (Team B) at Punjab Police, also Bhisham Pandey, son of Ludhiana MLA Rakesh Pandey, as naib tehsildar.
The titles of both Bajwa and Pandey were removed by the state cupboard .
Asserting that he’d provide jobs to anybody coming out of a family which had made similar sacrifices,” he even pointed out that Punjab was through rough days from the dreary days of terrorism, even when 35,000 innocent lives were lost to senseless violence.
As many as 1,700 police employees had died, ” he remembered, including that it wasn’t enough to cover tributes to those people in their own memorials, and also the nation required to do something longer to compensate their own families.
