Bengaluru: The number of people undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Karnataka has dipped below 20,000 for the first time in about 150 days because fresh infections remain below 2,000.
The active case was last lower than 20,000 on March 26 (19,553).
The new Covid-19 case began to increase in the last week of March and subsequently, active cases were also barbed, violating some unwanted milestones in April.
At the end of the month, the active case stood at 3.8 lakh in the state and immediately rose to 4 lakh.

Hassan (6 percent or 1,130) and MySuru (5 percent or 994) also reported a large number of active cases.
The fifth of this district has 73 percent (13,827) of the total active case in the state.
On August 27, the total recovery of Karnataka stood at 28.8 lakh of the total infection of 29.4 lakh, while 37,248 people had given up on Covid-19 so far.
