Chandigarh: The Cabinet Appointment Committee (ACC) was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday issued an order to appoint Anindita Mitra, officer IAS IAS 2007, as commissioner of Corporation Chandigarh Municipal.
“The Cabinet Appointment Committee approved the Ministry of Home Proposal for the appointment of Anindita Mitra to Pos Commissioner MC, UT, on the Inter-Cadre representative from Punjab Cadre to Cadre Agmut (Chandigarh segment),” the copy of the order said.
The Punjab government will now alleviate officers from the country.
Partners, who will have a three-year term, will be the first regular IAS officer of Punjab, to serve in Chandigarh as the MC commissioner.
Previously, officers IAS Prerna Puri and Bhawna Garg have been given additional fees from the city commissioner for several months.
