Chandigarh: Police Chandigarh DSP Dilsel Singh Chandel has served a notification of defamation to Navjot Singh Sidhu, President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, because of comments made in the police during the General Meeting in Kapurthala on November 18.
DSP has asked the public unconditionally to remove the public.
Apologies in 21 days.
Chandel said if Sidhu did not give an apology in 21 days, he would begin legal process, both civilian and criminal trials, against him.
DSP Chandel said in its notification that Sidhu had taken defamation acts consciously and intentionally with dangerous motives and ulteriorism to harm, damage and reduce the reputation and dignity of the police in the eyes of the masses.
Chandel accused that Sidhu handles a rally in the new bath fund, Sultanpur Lodhi, when he said, “Look at the boy with a yellow jacket; he was very strong so when he scolded Thanedaar (Station House Officer), he made Thanedaar wet his pants.” Then, record statement This is circulated on social media platforms.
Chandel also issued a video statement and slammed Sidhu on his suspicion of allegations.
DSP said it was a shameful statement given by Sidhu.
