Chandigarh: The city reported the death of Covid-19 and 967 new cases on Monday, the highest since March last year, which drives the level of participation to 23.13%.
A 68-year-old man from Dadumajra was the second victim of this year after 5.

“As expected by the trajectory, cases will cross 1,000 in a day today.
In some cities, the peak will come this week, while in another year it will be in mid-February,” said a public health expert.
He said, “We can expect more numbers until February.” The city has increased its testing to 4,181 on Monday.
A total of 77 patients were excluded from house isolation on Monday, while the recovery rate was 93.7%.
There were 69,388 confirmed cases, including 1,081 deaths.
The active case was 3253.
There were 261 patients treated at Covid Hospital in the city.
Of these, 25 is in the ventilator, the other in oxygen support.
Eighty-nine patients are in the mini covid care center for oxygen support, while others are accepted in public and private hospitals.
