Chandigarh: Composting Factory at the Dadumajra Waste Management Plant in 2017 processes only 80 to 90 metric tons (MT) wet waste or kitchen on capacity of 300 metric tons.

Composting factories are arranged after NGT has asked the company in 2017 to install it at any cost to process waste.
The court has also directed the MC rather than not intervening in the functioning of the company and has formed a special committee to monitor the work.
The company has claimed in 2017 that the compost plant project has cost almost Rs 5 Crore.
