Chandigarh: The National Commission for the Scheduled Caste has asked the PGI Director for a personal appearance on Tuesday on the selection of assistant professors in the ordered category, which is not in accordance with the Law of the Central Education Institution, 2019.
Chairman of the Commission, who will hear the case in New Delhi , has asked the Director of the Institute of Education and Postgraduate Medical Research Chandigarh (PGimer) to present reports taken by action and all relevant documents to facilitate hearing.
The applicant, Dr.
Narendra Kumar, will be available at video conferencing, because he has been used in Dhaka.
Indian Government Regulations require the approval of the liaison officer before posting posts for all options for the reservation list.
The government agreed to the number of seats to be advertised for the backup category candidate too.
“However, the PGI government has not taken my approval,” said a liaison officer in PGI, in a letter to the President of the SC / SC Institute employee association.
Further mentioned in the letter that: “Under this action, PGI has carried out faculty members recruited for the AIIMS campus (All-India Medical Institute) in Bathinda and Bilalaspur.” In both of these institutions, connecting officers claim to have confirmed the implementation of the reservation list, “remembering all institutions as one unit under the action”.
On June 22, at a government agency meeting which will be held after more than a year in Delhi, the selection of faculty members has been supported under the leadership of the Minister of Health and family welfare, Dr.
Harsh Vardhan.
Sources at the institution said that PGI has taken a request to have the need to have more faculty members without delay to manage Pandemic Covid-19.
This action has been implemented since March at AIIMS, New Delhi.
In this Law, the choice of categories ordered to post the Faculty of Medical Faculty Members will be considered for direct recruitment, not based on vacancies in the department but in all central education institutions.
In this way, PGI’s decision affects 150 faculty members, which have not been considered for the Professor’s assistant post under the ordered category.
