Chandigarh school to reopen for class IX-XII from July 19

Chandigarh: UT government on Tuesday decided to reopen the school for class IX to XII, Cinema room with a capacity of 50% and a coaching center in fresh relaxation after swimming in Coronavirus infection in the city.
The decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by the UT administrator P Singh Badnore.
The school will start functioning from July 19 subject to the approval of parents to send their wards.
However, online teaching modes will continue.
The training institution will also be allowed to operate from July 19 on the condition that all students and staff who meet the requirements are given at least one dose of vaccine and the Covid protocol is strictly followed.
UT further decided to increase the limit at the meeting.
The number of guests for social meetings such as marriage is enhanced to 200 or 50% of the capacity of the banquet space, which is lacking, with the conditions that all the guests and hotel room / banquet staff have received at least one vaccine dose or have a negative RT-PCR report from the last 72 hours.
Stone parks and museums, and cinema and spa rooms to be permitted functioning with a capacity of 50%.
In the meeting, Dr.
G D Puri from PGI said that almost all OPD had been opened in PGI.
He further said they did around 100 operations every day and had around 1,500 patients received indoors.
There were more than 200 patients in an emergency, which was almost full.
More than 1,500 beds from 2,200 beds available in PGI are occupied by non-covid patients.
Of the 357 cases of musicycosis, which came for care, 38 deaths have occurred with a level of death of 10.5%, said Puri.
