CHANDIGARH: The UT government has sent a copy of the stay order of the Punjab and Haryana high court on electricity privatisation into the ministry of electricity and hauled with them in detail during the next path of actions.
Considering that the UT began investigating all the aspects associated with the orders and also probably the Chandigarh government can proceed to the Supreme Court for the stay vacated.
Considering that the Government of India is actively engaged in this issue and can be in regular contact with all the senior officials worried of the Chandigarh government, sources confirmed that the central administration was pushing this job since day one and they’ll need to proceed farther to have the stay vacated.
Furthermore, if demanded, the UT will definitely search for all possible assistance from the ministry of electricity.
Though, a high level assembly in this respect will be convened, in which all of senior officers of the UT will probably examine the problem and also the Punjab governor-cum-UT administrator V P Singh Badnore is going to be part of the whole exercise to find his guidance in the issue.
After studying all of the angles, then a last decision will be accepted.
Because the UT government has three choices – whether to await another hearing of this circumstance, which can be scheduled in August, or opt for inspection request in the high court from the remain or move for writ request to challenge the arrangement of the large court at the Supreme Court.
Sources said that choice to visit the Supreme Court could be considered priority, however the last decision will be accepted following a high-level assembly of their officers.
Even the Punjab and Haryana high court recently remained the tender procedure for the energy privatisation job of the UT administration.
Lately, the government opened technical bidding of seven firms and filed the case to this specialized bids test committee.
