Bengaluru: Chikkalasandra residents, outside Katriguppe, South Bengaluru, alleged that 400 of them were sick after drinking Borewell water for the past 15 days.
Hundreds of them must be treated for food poisoning and dehydration.
They suspect groundwater contamination due to water seepage from the water channel.
Ten apartments with 1,000 flats were affected.
Six hundred flats are in one apartment complex.
The population gets water transported by a tanker from the outside.
