Bengaluru: The Chairman of the Minister of Basavaraj Bommai, who will finish six months in the office on Thursday, allocated districts that the cabinet ministers will be responsible for, while maintaining urban districts Bengaluru.
When the BBMP election is due, it is widely expected that the responsibility of the Bengaluru urban district will be allocated to senior ministers from the city – either R Ashoka or V Somanna.
But CM made the district with himself like his predecessor BS Yediyurappa, following the number of candidates for it.
Unlike in the past, no minister was responsible for his home district.
Senior Minister R Ashoka and JC Madhuswamy have not been given a district.
Madhuswamy said he refused to be responsible for any district than Tumakuru.
But the sources said they had a conflict against Madhuswamy from the BJP Tumakuru unit was said to be the reason.
Previously, Tumaku MP GH Basavaraju in Chat with the Minister of Development of Urban Byrathi Basavaraju during the public function accused Madhuswamy to cause damage to the party with its allegedly alleged functional function.
Interior Minister Araga Jnanendra will now oversee the Tumakuru District.
As far as Ashoka concerning, the source said, he was not interested in the district other than Bengaluru Urban.
“He has de facto in-charge minister for Bengaluru Urban and CM want to continue this unofficial setting,” he added.
Three ministers – BC Patil, K Gopalaiiah and Shankar B Patil Munenakoppa – has been allocated by each of the two districts.
B Sriramulu got the Ballari home district because he represents the mobladial assembly segment in Chitradurga while CN Ashwath Narayan, who has locked the horn with DK Shivakumar and DK Suresh, will continue as Ramanagara District responsible.
“This is a party brass decision that the Minister wants to develop their leadership skills outside their district,” said a person in BJP.
While Senior Minister KS Eshwarapppa has shifted to Chikkamagaluru Regency, Minister of KC Narayana Gowda has been responsible for the Shivamogga district.
CM’s decision appointed the Minist of Tourism Anand Singh because they were responsible for Koppal had not dropped well with the last supporters.
They protested in Hospet, demanding that Singh be made into Minister of District of his house Vijayanagara.
They also plan to hold a district bandh.
While the Minister Shashikala Jolle was responsible for the Vijayanagara District Minister, Food Minister of Food and Civil Equipment Umesh Katti and the Minister of Social Welfare Srinivas Poojary would handle Vijayapura and Uttara Kannada.
The appointment of the regency-responsible ministers has come when Bommai is under pressure from the party legislator to expand its cabinet.
