Guwahati: The Chairman of Himanta Minister Buswa Sarma on Sunday launched the second phase of the Assam Micro Finance Institution Relief (AMFIR) scheme in Biswanath, with Clarion’s call to female borrowers to use more loans in the future.
Under the second phase of the scheme for regular payment receivers, checks were submitted to 5,024 beneficiaries of Gohpur, Behali, Sootha and Biswanath in a program held in the North Biswanath Assam Regency.
In the phase-II of the Amfir scheme, a total of 12,590 category-I benefits in the Biswanath district will receive a check.
During the phase of this scheme, borrowers who have paid their loans regularly, will benefit and will be given an incentive one RS 25,000 or outstanding balance, which is lacking.
Sarma urges beneficiaries to use this incentive wise so that their Cibil scores increase.
This, he said, is very important for them to be worthy of more loans in the future.
“A new portal will open from next month where the beneficiaries of women who have not been able to pay their microfinance loans at all, will be able to register and the state government will help them restore loans,” Sarma said.
He also stressed that microfinance institutions must make a loan applicant aware of payment conditions.
Sarma said the incentives offered to beneficiaries aimed at helping them to continue to maintain good credit discipline.
A total of 11 women lakh will benefit during this phase scheme.
Sarma also announced that killing the development scheme that was being carried out in Biswanath Regency, inhabited by diverse communities, including a vast tea garden population, where he told me that college engineering in Behali and a medical college in Biswanath will soon come.
A cable car project has also been proposed in Biswanath Ghat and is expected to be completed in 2022, he said.
The ministerial chief said his government was starting steps to provide a class 9 class 9 class certificate in their respective schools without having to go anywhere.
