Bengaluru: As a brews of dissatisfaction between part ministers a day after the portfolio allocation, head minister Karnataka Basavaraj S Bommai on Sunday said he had talked to them about this issue.
The day after Bommai expanded the cabinet, the portfolio was given on Saturday.
While many ministers retained their portfolio, which they held in Yediyurappa’s previous government, several newcomers secured heavy – Araga Jnanendra got the Department of Houses and V Sunil Kumar Energy, Kannada and Culture.
However, the allocation of the portfolio is not pleasing to the environment, Ecology and Minister of Tourism Anand Minister of Administration Singh and Nagaraj (MTB).
Both ministers, who have joined BJP in 2019 after stopping from Congress, asked BOMMAI and expressed their dissatisfaction.
Speaking to reporters here on the sidelines of a function, said Bommai, “I have talked to him (Anand Singh) and he also expressed his view.
I have told him that I realized his sentiment.
I will make every effort on maintaining his honor .
He agreed too much.
“The main minister said he also spoke with Nagaraj.
At these ministers claimed that he and Yediyurappa did not keep their promise, Bommai said, “This is not a discussion problem,” Singh and Nagaraj have insisted that they must be given a “better” portfolio.
After calling in Bommai, Nagaraj told reporters that he would continue the same portfolio for now.
However, he said he had aspiring the “better” portfolio such as the Department of Public Works, Rural Development and Transportation.
Anand Singh also said he would not speak before the media about this problem and explained to CM about it.
Sources at BJP acknowledge that some Senior MLA, which has been “part of BJP from the beginning”, upset with cabinet expansion when they are abandoned and ‘outsiders’ get preferences.
The term ‘outsiders’ in the BJP circle refers to the congress and JD (s) MLA who left their party in 2019 and joined BJP.
They were disqualified from the Assembly, contested by Bypolls assembly and was chosen on BJP tickets.
“Most of the ‘outsiders’ got the position of minister while some of them had served the party for several decades left behind”, said a BJP leader.
Some senior BJP legislators who are in a dispute for a sign of ministries are: Bommanahalli MLA.
