Chandigarh: In what was seen as an attempt by the Congress to send messages ‘everything was fine’ and project the face of state leadership, Chairman of the Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh and President of the Navjot State Congress Singh Sidhu on Friday agreed to establish a rising ‘strategic policy group’ 10 members.
The Amarinder captain also assigned his colleagues.
The task is available at the Punjab Bhawan Congress in Chandigarh every day, with rotation, for meetings with MLAS and other party officials to discuss issues related to their constituencies and overcome any complaints.
The twin announcement was made after Sidhu met with the main minister along with the President of the Workers of Kuljit Singh Nagra and the Secretary General of the Singh Pargate.
This step follows the President of Congress Sonia Gandhi underlined the need for proper coordination between the party and the government.
AICC Incharge from Punjab Urfairs Harish Raja is scheduled to visit Chandigarh next week to ensure that Amarinder and Sidhu sink their differences to work together.
