Bengaluru: Commercial Street has got a makeover and shop owner and company on the road raving about it.
The Chairman of the BS Minister Yediyurappa officially stated the road opened on Friday afternoon.
“This is the first time in 75 years that a minister visited commercial roads, and 150 years since infrastructure work was taken on this road.
Although there was a slight delay due to operational challenges, we would still thank the Government of Karnataka to consider commercial roads under Bengaluru Smart City Limited, who took stretching for rebuilding, “said Sanjay M, president, the association of commercial road shop owners.
The work on the road as high as more than 450 meters starts in March 2020 and must be completed in December, but the pandemic plays spoilsport.
Fair Fazal, the owner of Fazal, said, “has taken some time, but it has come out very well.

The way the road has been renovated, we are sure it will attract buyers and tourists.” Although some works such as the elimination of overhead cables, putting round rocks to the end of the road and cleaning debris are still delayed, the shop owner is happy with the results.
Zoher Ibrahim from Brownshop said, “We have all passed a lot because City Smart work starts.
Talking about commercial roads, we are sure that beautiful moments are in front.” Carriageway has yellow, gray and red and high lights.
Anand Dice, Managing Director of Anand Sweets, said, “We suffered over the past two years, but the results have brought great help.
We believe the business on this road will soon take.
The road has a very European look.” However, the shop owner, concerned about the lack of parking facilities.
“People abroad are accustomed to walking.
It takes time for people here to get used to park their vehicles elsewhere and walk to the road, but they will eventually get there,” added Anand.
