Bengaluru: While the chairman of Basavara Bommai on Monday reiterated his commitment to promote Kannada, stakeholders urged the state government to win at the center to approve official language status to Kannada and other regional languages in Hindi and English.
Activists revive their requests for official status for all 23 languages scheduled for central government administration through constitutional amendments.

Meanwhile, Kannada Development Authority (KDA) is preparing the draft Samagra Kannada Bhasha Masoode (Comprehensive Kannada Language Bill) who imagines one window agent to implement Kannada in state administration and frame the general rules to promote it, including signs in front of the public place and company commercial.
“Justice for Kannada and Kannada can only be achieved through meaning laws rather than rhetoric and public speech.
We want the government to pass Samagra Kannada Bhasha Masoode in the upcoming assembly session of bellagavi and provide a resolution that is looking for constitutional amendments to official language policies,” said Chairman of the KDA Nagabharana .
Article 343 The Constitution states that the official UNI language is Hindi along with English and they are now used for official purposes by the central government.
Language activists want to be changed to accommodate all scheduled languages, including Kannada.
They want Article 351, which says it is the assignment of the United States to promote Hindi, to be revoked.
“The law is biased against Hindi with regional language costs.
We contact all MPs and seek the introduction of personal bills in parliament.

Kannada and cultural minister V Sunil Kumar said the government would examine the proposal.
