Guwahati: Head of Minister of Assam Himanta Buswa Sarma on Wednesday accused the command of the Congress along with the Minister of Punjab hatching the conspiracy to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 5 in Punjab and demanded that his punjab Chararjit Singh Channi be arrested.

Sarma held a press conference here where, referring to the sting operation by the unnamed TV channel, he said, “this event is a planned conspiracy.
It was not sponsored but sponsored with the only purpose to kill the Prime Minister.” Sarma said In the sting operation, DSP Punjab Cid Sukhdev Singh was seen saying that he had a wind protest and protester plan with the intention to interfere with PM tour and therefore he told the SSP.
“The officer told him that it was not a farmer but Khalistanist who was waiting to interfere with the tour,” Sarma said.
“All evidence makes it clear that the High Command and Punjab Cm Congress conspires to kill PM Modi,” he added.
Sarma said, “Even Sho from the local police station was strengthened in a sting operation that there were no instructions from higher about how to deal with protesters.
Because of the bad weather, the helicopter journey was dropped and the road route was taken and this information was forwarded to Khalistani protesters.”
