Chandigarh: Senior Congress leader and National Secretary General of Randeep Singh Surjewala said on Friday that the wrong policy of the BJP government had changed the peaceful state of Haryana to the center of crime, where three murders, four rape and eight kidnappings occurred every day.
In the crime rate recognized under the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and special and local laws (SLL), Haryana State stands four throughout the country, which should be a problem of shame for the government.

Surjewala said that 1,165 murder in 2020 was a large number for small conditions such as Haryana.
With a murder rate of 3.9 per population Lakh, Haryana was ranked second among all states and the state-union states at the murder rate for 2020.

Surjewala said that Haryana was ranked second in the pace of kidnapping with 10.1 kidnapping per lakh population.
