Guwahati: Congress on Saturday continues to take the government’s recommendations to “give and take the formula to resolve a number of long limit disputes waiting with Meghalaya and demanding discussions about these problems in the State Assembly.
The decision must be challenged in court and the mass movement must be built against it.
Pieces, which are the main opposition parties in Assam, held a demonstration in front of the head office here on the day against government proposals.
It also held an academic, intellectual and lawyer meeting to discuss this issue in detail.
“By making a final decision on IMBRoglio Border Assam-Meghalaya in the Country Cabinet and sending reports to the center without discussion in the State Assembly, you have done something that opposes the interests of the state.
This is not responsible and not constitutional,” he said.
Saikia urged CM to cancel the cabinet decision and final recommendation.

if you don’t allow discussions at home on this problem and continue without regard to public opinion, you will be remembered in history as the main minister who surrendered,” said Congress leader in his letter.
According to the last set of recommendations provided together by three regional committees formed by two countries, from 36.79 Km square area which was debated for the settlement in the first phase, Assam would get full control at 18.51 Kil Square and Meghalaya at 18.28 km rectangle.
