Bengaluru: SR Patil, opposition leader in the legislative council, has been rejected by tickets to oppose the election of December 10 to 25 seats of the legislative council of the local body constituency.
Patil tried to oppose one of the two seats from Vijayapura-Bagalkot District, but the Kuningan Party decided to only oppose a single seat and will allece Sunil Gouda Patil, a member of Sitting and MB Patil’s brother.
The party said it denied the ticket to Sr Patil because of his age.
Large protests broke out in two districts after he was rejected by the ticket.
Congress also denied tickets to sit MLC Dharmasena from the constituency of MySuru-Chamarajanagar.
D Thimmaiiah, a retired government employee, has been chosen for the contest.
The party on Monday announced a candidate for 20 seats, including Youkuf Shariff for Bengaluru Urban.
Congress decided to only oppose a seat in five districts with a double seat.
KC sitting members were given tickets despite the opposition from most MLA parties from Ballari and Vijayanagar.
MLAS led by Anil Lad has written a letter to a high order who oppose the nomination of condo.
But support from Malikarjun Kharge was reported to work for Kondaih.
Congress also jumped surprisingly by deploying the President of the Workers of KPCC Saleem Ahmed from Dharwad.
Hope to cash Srinivas Mane’s popularity that represents a seat before he elected MLA from Hangal earlier this month.
As expected, Channaraj Hattiholi, Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s brother, Manthar Gowda, son of former Minister of Man Manju, and R Rajendra, son KN Khanna has got a ticket from Bellagavi, Kodaakuru.
