Guwahati: The movement of the train returns between Domohani and Newaguri’s new part under the Junction Alipurduar division from Railway NF in West Bengal in early Saturday, after the Guwahati train was bound on Thursday.
The incident occurred around 5pm when Bikaner-Guwahati Express 15633 slipped, killing nine passengers and injuring 36 others.
In a statement, NF Railway CPRO Guneet Kaur said the first DN Boxn goods train passed the section of 2.05 in the morning.
“Before that, the bottom line track was certified suitable for the train movement at a 20-km night.
The first passenger to carry the 20505 train in the New Delhi Rajdhani Express crossed the affected part at 11.53 in the morning.” Minister of Railway Ashwini Vaishnaw.
