GUWAHATI: Special DGP (Law & Order) GP Singh on Tuesday summoned the police officers posted in Lakhimpur district as record conversations phone call by the ruling party and make it viral.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said “record conversations with representatives of the public calls anywhere by any government servant is illegal” .pushpakamal bora, the officer in charge of the police station Narayanpur in Lakhimpur district, has been asked to appear before the Special DGP on Wednesday.
The audio clip of a conversation between Bora and BJP MLA of the constituency BIHPURIA, Amiya Kumar Bhuyan, have recently become viral, in which the MLA allegedly threatened first as it took several people in connection with a case and asked not to be harassing people.

Cm on Tuesday told the media, “A person should not record conversations phone call if public representatives call.
Recording conversations telephone calls with representatives of the public by any government employee is illegal.
It is immoral.
Recording of phone calls by government officials, and divide it into the media is not a good system.
If the system continues, then nobody, including me, will be able to call anyone.
Therefore, I think the trend of record telephone calls should not be started.
