Bengaluru: Karnataka on Tuesday recorded another sharp surge in the case of fresh Covid-19, with 41,457 people who contracted illness.
Bengaluru accounted for the highest at 25,595, the highest infection of the two cities a day.
The last time Karnataka reported more cases was 41,664 on May 15.
Bengaluru reported 26,756 on April 30.
On Tuesday, five other districts reported more than 1,000 cases – Mysore (1,739), Hassan (1,731), Dakshina Kannada (1,731), 1,058) and Bengalore Rural (1,116).
Mandya (801) and Udupi (895) District also reported a significant increase.
