Bengaluru: Karnataka on Wednesday recorded 1,116 new cases of Covid-19, and eight deaths, took the total number of infections to 29,64,083 and the death toll became 37,537, the Ministry of Health said.
The day also saw 970 release, took the total recovery amount to 29,10,626.
Of the 1,116 new cases reported during the day, 462 came from Bengaluru Urban, because the city saw 265 release and 5 deaths.
The total number of active cases is 15,892.
While the level of participation for the day reached 0.65%, the case mortality rate (CFR) was at 0.71%.
Of the eight deaths reported on Wednesday, five came from Bengaluru Urban, and each of Dakshina Kannada, Tumakuru and Udupi.
Among the districts where new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban contributed 462, Dakshina Kannada 102, Udupi 89, Hassan 81, Mysore 76, followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban District Peak the list of positive cases, with a total of 12,42,332, followed by MySuru 1.77,016 and Tumakuru 1,19,776.
Among the disposal as well, Bengaluru Urban overcame the list with 12,18,938, followed by MySuru 1.74.122 and Tumaku 4,18,012.
Cumulatively total 4.56.89,893 samples were tested where 1,70,306 was tested on Wednesday.
