Bengaluru: The Daily Covid-19 case in Bengaluru on Tuesday was in five points for the first time in almost eight months.
The 10,800 new infection appeared behind the front rate of the daily test touching 15.7% on Monday.
The last time Bengaluru reported cases in five points on May 19, when there were 11,772 infections.
Tuesday also saw the active burden of Karnataka exceeded 70,000 for the first time since June 2021.
14,473 new cases in the afternoon took the state active case burden to 73,260.
The state only has 10,292 active cases on January 2, Bengaluru’s house is 80.4% or 58,917 of the total active state cases.
There has been a seven fold increase in fresh infections during the past week.
Of the 4,970 cases in the week ended January 2, Karnataka has reported more than 42,000 new cases between January 3 and 9.
Between 3 and 11 January, the state adds more than 68,500 cases.
According to data on state war space, the Bengaluru Urban District reported a daily level of 15.7% on Monday, while it was 8.6% in the state.
Mandya reports 16% highest test levels in the state.
Two districts reported more than 500 fresh cases: Dakshina Kannada 583 and MySuru 562.
Tumakuru saw 332 cases and mandya 263.
