Chandigarh: The vibrating private health sector has stirred the UT government to plan to move the center to continue the conversion of industrial plots to establish hospitals in the industrial area.
Push for upgrades following a deadly second wave of Covid which has caused a shortage of beds and flood health facilities.
“The problem can be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs to take permission to open policies permitted from 2005 to 2008,” According to the letter UT administrator VP Singh Badnore has sent to six departments to improve health facilities, especially in the private sector.
Only two hospitals came in the industrial area so far.
“Administration has allowed plot conversion from industry to commercial for three years.
The draft proposal might be ready to seek the ministry’s approval for repentance.
But every case needs to be decided individually as a request for roads and traffic needs to be managed and the norms are set,” said Badnore , “Industrial estates have many plots.
A total of 82 plots are permitted to convert to the commercial category, including hospitals, but only two hospitals appear.
Available industrial plots, which have been converted, can be used to prepare hospitals,” Badnore added.
Sources say government health facilities are increased in accordance with the norms over time in the past recently, while the private health sector has struggled.
Great hospitals have appeared in neighboring cities, developing with the passage of time.
“A high time to think about improving private health care facilities in Chandigarh too,” said the source.
UT has claimed to allow new hospitals to improve infrastructure in the private sector.
“To meet demand, some NGOs and charity institutions temporarily regulate the Covid Mini Care Center,” the letter said.
