Guwahati: CPM on Monday said it would support Congress candidates in four assembly seats in Assam’s nomination and CPI in one for October 30 elections in the state.
The left party will support CPI candidates in the Thowra constituency and congressional nomination in the Mariani seat, Bhabanipur, Tamulpur and Gossaugon.
“The coalition government led by BJP has betrayed the People of Assam after the last assembly.
The government has not made a minimum effort to help them when they face problems,” CPM said) in a statement.
