Bengaluru: Extraordinary heavy rain and continues because the pandemic leaves the state government that is very dependent on the Mahatma National Rural Rural Scheme (MGNREGA) this year to increase household income in rural areas.
The country leaned so much on the scheme that had exhausted the original allocation of 13 days crore off work made by the center under the fiscal scheme.
With three months and-ahalf to go this fiscal, the country is now scrambling to persuade the center to increase allocations.
Wage payments have been postponed with the estimated RS 700 Crore delayed from the center.
“Because we have run out of days of allocated people, all MGNREGA labor payments will be postponed as a consequence because the center must first delete the request submitted by the state and then transfer additional funds,” said a government official.
The government faces a shame during the ongoing winter session from the legislature in the BEGIVAVI when the BJP senior and former BS Yediyurappa lead Minister sided with the opposition in raising the question of the scheme employed under the scheme.
The center has allocated 13 days of crore people at the beginning of fiscal but expanded it with 1.4 crore people to January.
However, the country will spend even this expanded allocation for the next 15 days and therefore looks for revisions upward further than people’s days.
“Because of the increasing demand for working under Mgnrega, Karnataka has reached the target of 13 days of crore people, although three and a half months are still in this financial year,” said LK Atheeq, rural secretaries, Panchayat and Panchayat Department Raj.
“We have asked the center to increase the state labor budget from the 13th day of Crore to 18 crores.
The center has provided an additional 1.4 day labor budget sanction to January 2022.
The state must re-create a request to increase the labor budget in January.
“For every day Crore people, the center must provide additional sanctions of Rs 500 Crore.
This may have caused budget constraints for the United States and can regarding the request of Karnataka for the upward revision, officials said.
