Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada has decreased the number of Daily Covid-19 cases, and the level of prospitis.
On Wednesday, the district recorded 339 Covid-19 cases with a level of 3,89%.
Meanwhile, within the city of Mangaluru’s corporation, 64 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported.
The district has a total of 4,662 active cases.
However, with 15 deaths, the highest in the state, the total death toll touched 1,195.
Buses to operate from Thursday and bus services are expected to continue operations on Thursday.
Personal buses will run with a 20% increase in rates, because capacity has been limited to 50%, said Dakshina Kannada Bus Owner of the Association President Dilaraj Alva.
Deputy Commissioner V Rajendra said when the rate was enhanced last time, the price of diesel was Rs 56 per liter.
“The bus owner has asked to climb the tariff permanently, but we have agreed to a 20% increase in the tariff until the locking limitation exists, which is up to the capacity of 50%, or until the regional transportation authority meeting is held,” he said.
The Udupi district recorded 149 Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.
However, there were no deaths reported in this district.
Of the 149 cases reported, 134 people in house isolation.
This district has 940 active covid-19 cases, and three active mucormycosis cases.
