The Government of Karnataka wrote to Nasscom asked the company to extend work from home until December 2022 or working hours staggered
The state government has written to the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) who asked private companies to extend work from home options for most employees up to 2022 December or staggered for employees who work physically in the office.
The suggestion was present at the time of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
had started metro’s construction on the outer ring road from the Central Silk Board and Kr Puram.
A number of large companies and start-up are located in ORR, hiring the lakh person on a stretch of 20 km.
State government anticipates increased traffic after the choice of work-from-houses is stopped.
Some companies have begun to notify employees to be ready to work from the office early next year.

The letter stated that Metro’s construction on ORR could last for two years, making it very difficult to manage traffic movements on ORR.
BMRCL has occupied the median center, reducing the main carriageway.
While one path is occupied by the bus lane, the remaining traffic gets one and half the path and road service.
Against this background, Dr.
Ev Ramana Reddy, an additional head secretary in the Department of Electronics, Information Technology and Biotechnology has made a special request for the company.
Reddy has suggested two alternative options.
One, extend the job of the home option or Starer working hours and second, push the employee to take the bus that gets free movements in ORR where the bus lane has been made.
Not all happy with the bus lane.
Wisnu Prasad, a resident of Kasavanahalli, who works for IT companies, said BMTC has not added a new route after introducing the bus lane.
“How can BMTC expect people who live around 2-4 kilometers of radius from the bus lane hoping to take a bus if there is no first and last connectivity? There is no one bus plying to Kasavanahalli or haraling,” he said.
He Sid BMTC did introduce new bus services in the past but they suspended services because the bus route was unfavorable.
“BMTC has provided bus services at 7:30 a.m.
and others at 10:30 a.m.
Supporting public transportation states that the removal of the bus lane is not a rates require.
They want BMTC to increase the bus frequency instead.
