Guwahati: Earthquake of 3.4 reached several Assam District on Friday morning, said an official bulletin.
There are no direct reports of losing life or damage to the property, he said.
The earthquake took place at 8.39 in the morning and the epicenter in Nagaon in Central Assam, said the national seismology center.
The depth of the earthquake was 10 km, he said.
According to Bulletin, the incident is a 40 km west of Tezpur on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River.
People panic ran out of their home when the earthquake hit the country.
Northeastern States falls in high seismic zones and earthquakes often hit the area.
The 6.4 magnitude earthquake has shaken the area on April 28.
