Farmers, part of Saturday’s protest, die

Karnal: A 45-year-old farmer, who reportedly participated in Saturday’s protest at Bastara Toll Plaza in Karnal, died on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Sushil Kajal, which has 1.5 acre land in the village of Raipur Jungan in this district.
Although the cause of death cannot be ascertained, because the family rejected the postmortem examination, his relatives accused him of being beaten by the police.
This caused his death, they claimed.
They cremated the body on Sunday.
The farmer leaders said the problem would be taken at a meeting scheduled for Monday.
The leaders of farmers in all states will participate at meetings that will be held in Gharunda wheat market in Karnal.
In accordance with the farmer leader, the deceased was actively participated in Bastara Toll Plaza from the start.
BKU (Charuni) Secretary General of Harpal Sudhal said Sushil was present in Karnal on Saturday at Bastara Toll Plaza.
He received several hit sugar cane and suffered a heart attack from a surprise at his residence, he claimed.
