By: HC Vanlalruata AIZAWL: A 6-year-old boy, supposed to be the very first instance of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in-Children (MIS-C), has been treated in the Church-run Synod Hospital at Aizawl’s Durtlang area.
State nodal officer of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (ISDP), Dr Pachuau Lalmalsawma, along with State Epidemiologist, IDSP, Dr R Lalrintluanga, seen the boy at the hospital Saturday and delivered a report with MIS-C report type into the Emergency Medical Relief (EMR), New Delhi for Additional examination.
The report has been delivered after conducting detailed talk with Dr John Malsawma, Senior Advisor Paediatrics of this Synod Hospital that has been healing the boy.
The boy recovered after being infected by Covid-19 afterwards arriving from Delhi and has been discovered to be getting the MIS-C symptoms after his entrance into the hospital on June 4 to having diarrhoea and higher fever.
Doctors stated he has been making continuous improvement.
