Jorat: With the deterioration of the Covid-19 situation, the police and paramilitary forces carried out the March flag in the Golaghats Assam district on Saturday.
Minister of Assam for the transportation and commerce industry Chandra Mohan Patowary ordered the March flag to impose the Covid protocol in the district.
Patowary, which is the Minister of Guardian for the Golaghat district, also ordered the flag parade in the subdivision of Golaghat and Sarupathar each on Sunday and Monday.
“Because of the lack of awareness among people, Covid-19 infection has increased in the Golaghat district.
We have ordered the District Administration to enforce all relevant relevant laws.
Today (Saturday) there will be a March flag in Bokakhat, tomorrow ( Sunday) in Golaghat and the day after tomorrow (Monday) in Sarupathar, “said Patowary.
Patowary added that there was a rapid increase in Covid cases in all three subdivisions in Golaghat even though the district became a total detention zone since Wednesday.
A total of 563 Covid patients were in care at different Covid care centers in villages and tea gardens in addition to the city area.
Ten patients underwent treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 55 others in a house isolation in Golaghat on Saturday.
According to the State Health Report and the Department of Family Welfare, Golaghat was above in the positive case of Covid-19 in the last 10 days since June 30.
A total of 2,725 people were tested positive for Covid-19 in Golaghat followed by Kecatrupur (1,803) and Sonitpur (1,721) from June 30 to July 9.
